Pics - 2015 - National Championships, Lake Pupuke

For the first time in 7 years, NZDBA National Champs returned to Auckland's North Shore. Every second year they are in the North Island, and it has been the Blue Lake near Rotorua for 2009, 2011 and 2013. Otherwise, the peak New Zealand Dragon Boat Championships are hosted by Aoraki Dragons at Lake Hood near Ashburton (that is, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016).

So for the new format of racing at Lake Pupuke (two days of racing, 200 metre sprints, 500 metre premier racing and 2,000 metre Turns Races in Standfard boats plus Small Boats), we took two teams - "Abreast of Life" in the BCS Division, and "ABOL Amazons" Womens team.
